I’m working daily to be the best woman, wife and mom I can be. Raising ten children, I have been asked a number of questions over the years but mainly people want to know how I do it all. The answer is, I don’t. I do what I can, the best that I can.
As ShapeUpMom, I’m dedicated to share what I’ve learned through all of these experiences to share tips on topics ranging from potty training and handling emotional teens to getting back in shape after pregnancy and finding time for ourselves and spouse. With all the good, the bad, the travel, the broken bones, the celebrations, the traditions, the births and deaths, I found that sharing with other women and families here at ShapeUpMom.com offered the best option to connect, share and grow together as women, wives and moms.
Enjoy the site. Explore and know that to be your best self, you have to work at it, plan for it and make it happen, just like everything else on today’s to-do list.
More on Little Guy…and why he is in my logo
My father passed away in July of 2007. The markings he left on my heart can be seen here in the lines of this little sketch. He’s saying, “I love you this much,” as shown by the outstretched arms resembling that of my dad’s when welcoming others into his home and his life, written in the Greek word “twso” meaning, “…this much”, and proven by the smiling and friendly face that is just like his, open and inviting. The disproportioned ears show his lightheartedness and laughter. He had joked that one ear was bigger than the other because as a boy he was always in trouble and his mother had to pull him by the ear to get his attention.
It’s by these principles I’ve built my life and my family upon. It’s these characteristics I am proud to share with my dad and to see in my children and family as they grow. My dad lives on in all of us. He lives on in these simple lines that say so much.
